The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Ashgabat has announced that the National Institute for International Education (NIIED) under the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Korea is recruiting international applicants for the 2027 government undergraduate scholarship program.

The program includes one year of Korean language training, followed by a 4–6 year academic program.

Selected candidates holding a TOPIK (Test of Proficiency in Korean) certificate of Level 5 or higher are exempt from the Korean language training.

Candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Citizenship: Turkmenistan;

• Age: Under 25 (born after March 1, 2002);

• Education: Individuals who have graduated (or plan to graduate) from secondary school or college by December 31, 2026.

Application submission period: from 11:00 on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, to 18:00 on Wednesday, September 30, 2026 (Korea Standard Time).
