President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held talks in Seoul with the President of the Republic of Korea, Lee Jae-myung, during which he invited him to visit Ashgabat in 2027. This was reported by TDH.

As Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted, next year marks the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Korea. According to him, this date holds great significance in the history of the two nations and states and testifies to the consistent development of bilateral cooperation.

The President of Turkmenistan proposed celebrating this significant date widely and ceremoniously in both countries, infusing it with qualitatively new content.

The Head of State invited Lee Jae-myung to visit Turkmenistan next year and wished the Korean people peace and prosperity.

The President of Turkmenistan is paying a state visit to the Republic of Korea from September 14 to 16. Within the framework of the trip, he will also participate in the inaugural “Central Asia – Republic of Korea” summit.
