Preparations for the XXXI International Conference and Exhibition "Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan – 2026" (OGT 2026) are entering their final stage. The forum organizers report record-breaking momentum in international participant registration.

According to the latest data, over 400 people have already confirmed their participation in OGT 2026, including more than 300 international delegates from approximately 40 countries. Registration is ongoing, and the organizers expect the number of participants to rise further. Particular note is made of the growing number of companies showing interest in the Turkmen market for the first time: more than 100 companies are expected to participate in the forum for the first time.

The exhibition space for OGT 2026 is completely sold out—all available areas have been booked. A highlight among the international exhibits will be the Malaysian pavilion, bringing together over 20 companies, many of which will be showcasing their technologies and services in Turkmenistan for the first time. Chinese businesses will also play a significant role, a development facilitated by the two countries' long-standing strategic cooperation in the gas industry. The long-term operations of Malaysia’s PETRONAS in Turkmenistan are specifically highlighted as an example of successful international collaboration within the country's oil and gas sector.

The forum will take place in Ashgabat on October 21–23 under the motto "Energy. Partnership. Progress." It will bring together representatives of government agencies, executives from national and international energy companies, investors, financial institutions, technology companies, and industry experts. The agenda covers the further development of the “Galkynysh” gas field, the TAPI gas pipeline project, prospects for the Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea, gas processing and petrochemicals, investment, digitalization, and artificial intelligence, as well as methane emission reductions and modern environmental technologies. A significant part of the program will be dedicated to B2B and B2G meetings between Turkmen state entities and international businesses.

The forum will be covered by leading global and industry media outlets, including Euronews, Energy Intelligence, and Petroleum Economist.

The organizers have prepared a cultural program for international guests, including visits to the landmarks of Ashgabat, the National Museum of the Turkmen Carpet, and ancient Nisa—a historical and cultural monument of Turkmenistan.

Official receptions are also planned, including one at the Gül Zaman restaurant, which will prepare a special menu for forum participants.
