Turkmen specialists participate in a financial monitoring program in Moscow

A delegation of young specialists from Turkmenistan is participating in the "New Generation" program for young financial intelligence officers, which opened in Moscow. The opening ceremony took place on August 17 at the International Training and Methodological Center for Financial Monitoring (ITMCFM), according to the press service of Rosfinmonitoring.

In addition to the Turkmen delegation, representatives from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan are participating in the program. Participants were welcomed by Rosfinmonitoring Director Yuri Chikhanchin and Rossotrudnichestvo Director Igor Chaika.

This is the fourth time the program is being held jointly by Rosfinmonitoring and Rossotrudnichestvo. Over the course of the week, delegates will visit relevant organizations and participate in lectures, master classes, and business games. According to Chikhanchin, this year's participants are divided into four international teams to develop projects to counter modern AML/CFT threats; the results of this work will be continued at the Eurasian Group (EAG) and FATF venues.

As Chaika noted, over the course of the New Generation program's existence, more than 11 thousand people from over 150 countries have participated, and this year Russia welcomed more than 2 thousand young specialists in various educational fields.

As a reminder, the 44th EAG Plenary Week was held in Ashgabat from May 19 to 23, bringing together approximately 300 participants from member countries, observers, and international organizations. The Russian delegation was led by EAG Chairman and Director of Rosfinmonitoring Yuri Chikhanchin. At the plenary session, reports on the progress of the anti-money laundering systems of Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan were approved.
