Yesterday, the Mejlis of Turkmenistan held a meeting to review the results of its work over the past 7 months.

During the reporting period, amendments and additions were made to current legislation concerning the protection of the rights and legitimate interests of citizens, ensuring industrial safety at production facilities, improving accounting and financial reporting, licensing certain types of activities, highways and road activities, protecting the environment and biological resources of water, and increasing the effectiveness of migration policy.

It was noted that 7 laws of Turkmenistan were adopted, including the Law of Turkmenistan “On the establishment of the anniversary medal of Turkmenistan “Türkmenistanyň Garaşsyzlygynyň 35 ýyllygyna bagyşlanyp geçirilen dabaraly harby ýörişe gatnaşyja”, as well as 12 resolutions Majlis.

Currently, preparations are underway to hold a meeting of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan at a high organizational level.

Particular attention was paid to preparations for state and international events planned in connection with the declaration of 2026 as the Year of “Independent Neutral Turkmenistan – Homeland of Purposeful Winged Horses,” as well as the celebration of the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s independence.

It was noted that one of the priority areas of activity for the Mejlis deputies remains the broad promotion of humane state policy, Turkmenistan's international initiatives, and ongoing socio-economic reforms, as well as explaining to the population the essence of adopted laws, according to the Mejlis website.
