Representatives of the customs services of Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan held a working meeting via videoconference on July 30.

The meeting focused on exchanging experience in applying preferential treatment to customs clearance of imported goods under the signed bilateral Agreement on the Organization of the Exchange of Preliminary Information, according to the Customs Service of Turkmenistan.

The participants discussed in detail the optimization of electronic data exchange procedures and the acceleration of trade turnover.

Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their mutual commitment to further close partnership and the implementation of joint initiatives.

This event was the practical implementation of the agreements reached earlier during the official visit in June 2026, when the parties agreed on and signed the Agreement and the relevant Protocol on Cooperation.
