Contactless payments via Apple Pay have become available in Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, Daryo reports. Users of several local banks can now add bank cards to the Apple Wallet app and pay for purchases without a physical card.

In Kyrgyzstan, the service is available to customers of Mbank, OptimaBank, Bakai, O!Bank, and DemirBank. In Tajikistan, Apple Pay is available to “Alif”, “Humo”, and “Aktivbank” customers.

According to the publication, Uzbekistan is also preparing to launch Apple Pay and Google Pay. The country has already created the technical infrastructure for NFC payments, but the exact launch date for the services has not yet been announced.
