Turkmenistan has completed the renovation of the “Sarahs Awtoyollary” customs post on the Turkmen-Iranian border, according to the Turkmen Customs Service.

Repairs to buildings and structures at the customs post were completed, creating conditions to expedite throughput. A digital control system was implemented to monitor and track the movement of vehicles and goods.

This project was implemented within the framework of the phased modernization of Turkmenistan's border crossings, aimed at increasing the country's transit potential. As a reminder, the “Garabogaz” and “Artyk” customs posts have already been successfully commissioned since the beginning of the year following comprehensive upgrades.
