A meeting with Odile Renaud-Basso, President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. Following this meeting, the parties signed a package of cooperation documents.

The signed documents cover a wide range of areas—from banking and energy to transport infrastructure and urban development—and lay the foundation for further expansion of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the EBRD. These include:

• a memorandum of understanding between the Central Bank of Turkmenistan and the EBRD regarding key strategic priorities for the Bank's activities in Turkmenistan for the period 2027–2032;

• a memorandum of understanding between the Central Bank of Turkmenistan and the EBRD on a strategic partnership to strengthen the banking sector and support export-oriented growth and diversification of the country's economy;

• a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan, the Ministry of Energy of Turkmenistan, the state concerns “Türkmengaz”, “Türkmennebit”, “Türkmenhimiýa” and the EBRD on cooperation in the field of sustainable energy, environmental protection and the efficient use of water resources;

• a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Railway Transport of Turkmenistan, the Ministry of Roads of Turkmenistan and the EBRD on cooperation in the modernization of transport corridors and the development of the country's transit potential;

• a memorandum of understanding between the hakimlik of Ashgabat city and the EBRD on cooperation within the framework of the bank's “Green Cities” programme.
