Samsung announced three foldable smartphones: the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Z Fold 8 Ultra, and Z Flip 8. Russian retailers have opened pre-orders for the new devices, priced from 1912 USD, 2167 USD, and 1338 USD, respectively.

Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Z Fold 8 Ultra

The Galaxy Z Fold 8 features a 7,6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X main display with an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate and a 5,5-inch secondary display. The smartphone runs on a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip and Android 17 with One UI 9 on top. Storage options include 12GB of RAM and 256GB or 512GB of internal storage, as well as 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage.

The battery capacity is 4800 mAh, and it meets the IP48 water and dust resistance standard. Compared to the Galaxy Z Fold 7, the device is lighter—201 g versus 215 g—while its folded thickness has increased from 8,9 mm to 9,7 mm.

The smartphone's main camera is 10 MP (f/2,2, 1,12 µm, 100˚), and the selfie camera is the same (f/2,2, 1,12 µm, 85˚). It also has a dual module: a 50 MP wide-angle camera (f/1,8, 1,0 µm, 85˚, 2x optical zoom) and a 50 MP ultra-wide-angle camera (f/1,9, 0,7 µm, 120˚).

The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra features an 8-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X main display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It weighs 215g, is 8,9mm thick when folded, has a 5000mAh battery, and is IP48-rated. The chip and operating system are the same as the base model—Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and Android 17 with One UI 9—and the memory options are identical.

The Ultra version's cameras include 10-megapixel selfie and main cameras (f/2,2, 1,12 µm), as well as a triple rear module: a 200-megapixel wide-angle camera (f/1,7, 0,6 µm, 85˚, 2x optical zoom), a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera (f/1,9, 0,7 µm, 120˚) and a 10-megapixel telephoto lens (f/2,4, 1,0 µm, 36˚, 3x optical zoom).

Galaxy Z Flip 8

The Galaxy Z Flip 8 features a 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X main display. It weighs 180g and is 13,1mm thick when folded. It has a 4300mAh battery and IP48 water and dust resistance. It is powered by a Samsung Exynos 2600 chip. It offers fewer memory options than the Fold models: 12GB of RAM and 256GB or 512GB of internal storage.

The front camera is 10-megapixel (f/2,2, 1,12 µm, 85˚), the rear camera is dual: wide-angle 50 MP (f/1,8, 1,0 µm, 85˚, 2x optical zoom) and ultra-wide-angle 12 MP (f/2,2, 1,12 µm, 123˚).
