A referee from Turkmenistan will officiate the beach soccer final at the VI Asian Beach Games

FIFA referee Timur Kulmuradov from Turkmenistan has been appointed as the referee and timekeeper for the final match in beach soccer at the VI Asian Beach Games, which are taking place from April 22 to 30 in the Chinese city of Sanya on Hainan Island.

The final will feature the teams of Iran and Oman. The match is scheduled to kick off at 17:30 Ashgabat time.

The VI Asian Beach Games brought together athletes from 45 countries. The competition program included 14 disciplines, including beach volleyball, football, jiu-jitsu, rock climbing, sailing, and aquathlon.

Sanya won the right to host the tournament in March 2019. The competition was originally scheduled for April 2021, but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This is China's second Asian Beach Games: in 2012, the competition was held in Haiyang, Shandong Province.

The Asian Beach Games were first held in 2008 on the Indonesian island of Bali and have been held every two years since. The tournament has previously been hosted by Oman (2010), Thailand (2014), and Vietnam (2016).
