On June 24, Turkmen pilgrims who performed the hajj to the holy cities of Mecca and Medina of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia returned home. Upon their return, the pilgrims were warmly welcomed, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
The total number of pilgrims was about 3 thousand. They were divided into eight groups and visited the main shrines of Islam according to the planned program.
Upon arrival, the members of the pilgrimage group expressed sincere gratitude for the care and assistance from the state in performing religious rites. As it is known, a group of Turkmen pilgrims was sent to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to perform the Hajj by the decision of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
A group of Turkmen citizens fulfilled all religious requirements during the Hajj. The pilgrims performed all rituals together with representatives of the clergy, which emphasizes the importance of correct and consistent implementation of religious dogmas.
