The international rating agency Fitch Ratings has assigned the State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of Turkmenistan a rating of "BB-" with a stable outlook. Deputy Prime Minister Hojamyrat Geldimyradov, TDH reports, announced this at a government meeting.
The agency notes the high level of financial stability of Turkmenistan and the presence of significant reserve funds. Fitch gave a positive assessment of the financial and banking activities of State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs, noting the high degree of its solvency. It is noted that this bank is one of the largest in the country.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, having heard the report, emphasized that effective work is being carried out in Turkmenistan to strengthen the international financial position of the country. The head of state noted that the assignment of the rating "BB-" with a stable outlook indicates the financial stability of the country.
