Turkmenistan has immediately provided conditions for the unimpeded use of airspace for all aircraft of foreign airlines that were forced to change their routes due to the situation in the Middle East that has developed in the last 24 hours, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reported.
The aircraft of FlyDubai (UAE), Jazeera Airways (Kuwait), S7Airlines (RF) and other airlines, which had on board citizens of Central Asia, the Middle East, India, Russia and a number of other countries, were promptly given the opportunity to land at the international airport of the city of Ashgabat.
All passengers were provided with three hot meals a day and access to medical care.
Aircraft crew members are provided with conditions for proper rest in accordance with international civil aviation standards.
Turkmenistan, being committed to the principles of international support, and also based on its status of permanent positive neutrality, in accordance with the UN Charter and generally recognized norms of international law, carries out all necessary actions aimed at the practical implementation of the high ideals of humanism and solidarity.
Let us remind that earlier the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan expressed concern in connection with Israeli missile strikes on populated areas and facilities in Iran.
