Turkmenistan's Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov held a telephone conversation with his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi. During the conversation, the parties discussed current issues of bilateral cooperation, according to the Turkmen Foreign Ministry.

At the beginning of the conversation, the foreign ministers exchanged congratulations on the occasion of the Novruz holiday, wishing the peoples of both countries peace and prosperity.

During the talks, the Iranian side expressed gratitude to Turkmenistan for the humanitarian aid provided to Iranian children on behalf of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care. Araghchi noted the importance of this gesture of goodwill and emphasized the significance of the humanitarian dimension in relations between the two countries.
