YouTube sets ad revenue record in 2025

According to research by analytics firm Moffett Nathanson, YouTube's advertising revenue will reach 40,4 billion USD by the end of 2025, surpassing for the first time the combined total of media giants Disney, NBC, Paramount, and Warner Bros., which amounted to 37,8 billion USD.

The platform's total revenue also reached a record high, reaching approximately 62 billion USD, surpassing Disney's media division's revenue of 60,9 billion USD, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Moffett Nathanson analysts estimate YouTube's value at 500–560 billion USD, calling it "the new king of the media market." Its closest competitor in market capitalization remains Netflix, with a market capitalization of 409 billion USD.

Experts attribute the platform's continued growth to several factors. More and more creators are using artificial intelligence tools to speed up content production and reduce costs. Advertisers, meanwhile, are increasingly shifting their focus to YouTube, as it attracts audiences—especially young people. Traditional studios, meanwhile, continue to face declining television audiences and rising production costs.
