A delegation from Turkmenistan toured the exhibits at the National Museum of China

The delegation of Turkmenistan, participating in the 9th meeting of the Subcommittee on Humanitarian Cooperation, visited the National Museum of China in Beijing.

Here, representatives from Turkmenistan viewed a special exhibition dedicated to the Year of the Horse according to the Chinese calendar, reflecting the historical role of the horse in the development of Chinese civilization, according to the website of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan.

The tour guide emphasized the importance of equestrian culture in developing contacts between the peoples of Eurasia. In this context, the historical parallel with the Turkmen national horse breeding tradition took on special significance. It was noted that the finest racehorses of Central Asia have been highly prized since ancient times for their beauty, endurance, and speed. This emphasis echoes the worldwide fame of the Ahal-Teke horse – the national treasure of Turkmenistan, embodying grace, nobility, high agility and exceptional endurance.

After touring the special exhibition, the Turkmen delegation also toured several halls of the National Museum of China's permanent exhibition dedicated to the country's ancient history. Particularly noteworthy were the artifacts from China's early history, examples of ancient ceramics, bronze ritual vessels, stone inscriptions, as well as terracotta figurines and a horse from the Qin Dynasty.

The visit to the museum became an important part of the Turkmen delegation's cultural program during their stay in Beijing and allowed them to gain a deeper understanding of China's rich historical and cultural heritage.
