Russia and Saudi Arabia signed an intergovernmental agreement waiving visa requirements for holders of all passport types. The document was signed during a business forum in Saudi Arabia, TASS reports.
According to the agreement, Russian citizens will be able to enter Saudi Arabia visa-free for up to 90 days per calendar year. Similar conditions will apply to Saudi Arabian citizens visiting Russia.
The visa-free regime will come into effect 60 days after the parties receive the final written notification that all necessary internal procedures have been completed. This is expected to occur no earlier than March 2026.
Currently, Russians require a visa to visit Saudi Arabia, which costs approximately 150 USD and can be obtained electronically or upon arrival.
