On August 16, mini-football competitions were held in the Iranian city of Mashhad, organized with the support of the Consulate General of Turkmenistan. The tournament was timed to coincide with the motto of the current year - "Year of International Peace and Trust", as reported on the social network page of the Consulate General.
The competition took place in the sports complex "Astan Gods". The event was aimed at increasing the interest of young people in sports and developing the physical culture and health movement.
The tournament was attended by employees of the Consulate General of Turkmenistan in Iran, as well as representatives of the Turkmen and Afghan diasporas living in the country.
The organizers note that the competition was held in a friendly atmosphere. The tournament became not only a sporting event, but also a symbol of good-neighborly relations between various national communities.
At the end of the competition, an award ceremony was held. The members of the winning team received memorable gifts.
