Within the framework of the III UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, "National Days of Azerbaijan" were organized in the Avaza National Tourism Zone, AZERTAC reports.
The event aims to introduce the rich culture, historical heritage and artistic traditions of Azerbaijan to an international audience. The conference hall features an Azerbaijani pavilion, which displays books, brochures, souvenirs, carpets, kalagayis and examples of applied art reflecting the history and cultural heritage of the country.
An open-air art exhibition "Pearls of the National Heritage of Azerbaijan" with exhibits from the collection of the National Carpet Museum of Azerbaijan is being held. Visitors can see carpets, intarsia, shebeke, jewelry, tekelduz and kalagayi embroidery. Master classes on carpet weaving, the art of shebeke, jewelry making and kalagayi are being organized.
The culinary section of the exhibition area features traditional dishes and sweets of Azerbaijani national cuisine, demonstrating the country's culinary traditions.
The program of concert events includes a gala concert on August 5 within the framework of the opening ceremony of the conference, a grand concert program on August 6 on the occasion of the "National Days of Azerbaijan" and a final gala concert on August 8 with the participation of Azerbaijani art masters.
