China has launched the world's first mass-production plant for humanoid robots

The Chinese company UBTECH Robotics has launched the world's first manufacturing complex capable of producing up to 10 thousand industrial humanoid robots per year—at a rate of one every ten minutes—in the city of Liuzhou (Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region), the company announced on WeChat.

The 14 thousand-square-meter facility primarily manufactures Walker S and Cruzr series robots. A key feature of the production process is the "robots building robots" principle. The plant was built with the participation of Germany’s Siemens Digital Industries Software and enables digital management of the entire production chain—from order planning and material allocation to quality control.

On the assembly line, humanoid robots handle the unloading, loading, and transport of materials, and every finished unit undergoes testing lasting more than four hours. The launch of the facility marks the transition of Chinese humanoid robot manufacturing from laboratory prototypes to large-scale, intelligent production.
