How to get your child back into school after the holidays

During the holidays, children often go to bed later than usual and wake up much later.

An abrupt transition to a school schedule can lead to morning drowsiness, irritability, decreased attention, and fatigue. Therefore, it is advisable to begin the return to school early, according to the newspaper "Neutral Turkmenistan."

UNESCO recommends gradually bringing sleep and wake-up times closer to the school schedule several days before the start of classes, and also restoring regular meal times.

Adequate sleep is essential for memory, attention, emotional well-being, and the ability to absorb new information. Sleep deprivation can manifest itself not only as fatigue, but also as irritability, decreased motivation, and difficulty concentrating.

It's helpful to establish a calm evening ritual: finish active activities, put away gadgets, take a shower, read a book, or talk with your child. The bedroom should be a place of rest, not an extension of the study or play space.
