The Turkmenistan men's and women's national 3x3 basketball teams (under 23) defeated the Qatari national teams in the opening matches of the 2026 FIBA 3x3 U23 Nations League international tournament, which is being held in Singapore.

The Turkmenistan men's team defeated their opponents from Qatar with a score of 15-9. The women's team secured a convincing 21-6 victory.

The matches were held in group B, part of the first stage of the tournament, where the Turkmen teams will also face teams from Australia.

The 2026 FIBA 3x3 U23 Nations League tournament is taking place from August 20 to 26 in Singapore. Turkmenistan's national teams are competing in the Asia West/Pacific Conference alongside teams from Australia, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Bahrain. The conference winner will earn a spot in the FIBA 3x3 U23 World Cup, which will take place from September 15 to 19 in Hubei, China.
