Turkish Ambassador Ahmet Demirok completed his diplomatic mission in Turkmenistan

A farewell reception was held in Ashgabat on August 13 to mark the completion of the diplomatic mission of Turkish Ambassador to Turkmenistan Ahmet Demirok. The event was attended by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the heads of diplomatic missions accredited in the country, as well as partners and friends of the embassy.

Speaking to the audience, the ambassador thanked the Turkmen side for its hospitality and support throughout his tenure in the country. He noted that Turkish-Turkmen relations are based on the shared history, linguistic and cultural affinity of the two peoples, and emphasized that during his years in Ashgabat, cooperation between the countries has strengthened in the economic, cultural and educational spheres.

Demirok expressed gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for their consistent support for the development of bilateral relations. The ambassador expressed special gratitude to Turkmenistan's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Rashid Meredov, and the country's foreign ministry staff for their cooperation throughout his diplomatic mission.

The Ambassador also thanked the staff of the Turkish Embassy, as well as the Turkish business community in Turkmenistan, noting the contribution of Turkish companies to the country's development.

In conclusion, Demirok expressed hope for the preservation and further development of friendly ties between the peoples of the two countries.
