A group of 30 students from Asian countries, primarily from China, paid a study visit to the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Brussels.

The visit was part of an educational program that introduced young people to the activities of European Union institutions, the fundamentals of European diplomacy, and the work of diplomatic missions, according to the Turkmen diplomatic mission's website.

Turkmenistan's Ambassador to the Kingdom of Belgium, Sapar Palvanov, briefed students on the main activities of the Turkmen diplomatic mission in Brussels, which also represents the country's interests at the institutions of the European Union.

The ambassador spoke about the history, modern development, and rich cultural heritage of Turkmenistan, as well as the key principles of the country's foreign policy, which is based on permanent neutrality, peacefulness, mutual respect, and good neighborliness.

After the presentation, Sapar Palvanov held a short quiz for the youth based on the meeting materials. The most attentive participants who answered the questions correctly received souvenirs. The grand prize was a traditional Turkmen carpet, awarded to one of the quiz winners.

The Embassy's young guests also shared their impressions of their stay in Brussels and spoke about their professional plans and interest in international relations.
