From June 11 to July 9, more than 100 children from various parts of Turkmenistan participated in a series of interactive sessions organized in summer camps, aimed at broadening their knowledge of children's rights and developing their skills to defend their own rights and those of their peers.

The sessions were organized jointly by the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, the Innovative Information Center of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, the Office of the Ombudsman of Turkmenistan, and UNICEF.
The sessions, held in Turkmenabat, Tejen, and the "Yashlyk" children's health center in Geokdere, introduced children to the fundamental principles of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child through interactive games, group activities, and discussions in a child-friendly atmosphere.

Participants also learned about the roles of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, the Office of the Ombudsman of Turkmenistan, and UNICEF in promoting and protecting children's rights in Turkmenistan.

Through interactive exercises and creative activities, children learned about the fundamental principles of the Convention, including the rights to education, protection, participation, and holistic development. The sessions helped children freely express their opinions, respect the views of others, and realize that all children have equal rights.
