Azerbaijan donated the oil tanker “Dostluk” to Turkmenistan, according to the online version of the Turkmenistan newspaper.
The handover ceremony for the oil tanker took place during Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov's state visit to Baku.
"Following the completion of the Turkmen-Azerbaijani talks in an expanded format, a ceremony to hand over the oil tanker “Dostluk” took place via video link," the statement said.
According to Azerbaijani media, the tanker was built at the Baku Shipyard. It is 141 meters long, 16,9 meters wide, and has a draft of 4,54 meters. Its total deadweight capacity is 7 875 tons.
