Director of the Institute of State, Law and Democracy of Turkmenistan Yagmyr Nuryev took part in the High-Level Forum on Global Governance in the Field of Human Rights, which was held in the capital of China on June 11–12.

The two-day forum agenda focused on the theme "Shared Development and Universally Accessible Human Rights: The 40th Anniversary of the Declaration on the Right to Development and a New Vision for Global Human Rights Governance," the Turkmen Foreign Ministry reported.

The meeting brought together over 400 delegates from more than 100 countries and major international institutions, including the UN.

During the specialized session "Green Development and Human Rights Protection," Yagmyr Nuryev delivered a report in which he thoroughly familiarized the international community with key vectors of Turkmenistan's state policy. He particularly emphasized that the country, strictly adhering to its internationally recognized status of permanent neutrality, consistently implements the fundamental foreign policy principle of “Peace through Development.”
