Ambassador of Pakistan to Turkmenistan Faryal Leghari and Chairman of Nishat Group Mian Mohammad Mansha, accompanied by a delegation, visited the Turkmenbashi and Ashgabat Textile Complexes on June 6, 2026. Deputy Minister of the Textile Industry of Turkmenistan Togtamurat Meredov accompanied the delegation throughout the visit.

The guests were introduced to the production facilities of the enterprises, which specialize in the manufacture of home goods, yarn, and grey cloth. The knitting units operating on the basis of special cotton blends were of particular interest to the delegation members. Mansha praised the efficiency of the production process and highlighted the substantial share of women among the workforce. The Ambassador was shown samples of sleepwear, T-shirts, and other products intended for both the domestic market and export.

It is worth noting that Nishat Group's textile enterprises in Pakistan import high-quality Turkmen yarn.

Following the tour of the complexes, Mansha and Meredov held talks during which they discussed ways to increase Turkmen exports to Nishat Group, as well as the possibility of opening retail stores in both countries. The Pakistani side invited the Deputy Minister to visit Pakistan to familiarize himself with the country's textile manufacturing sector. At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides agreed to transition to direct trade, eliminating the need for third-party intermediaries.
