Today, the grain harvest season began in the Dashoguz and Balkan velayats with a ceremonial ceremony. Representatives of velayat and etrap hakimliks, public organizations, elders, experienced agronomists, machine operators, and wheat producers took part in the festivities.

According to a centuries-old tradition, the elders offered a prayer to the Almighty for a successful harvest. Then, the venerable elders, having cut the first ears of wheat, handed over symbolic sheaves to the combine operators.

Powerful combine harvesters deployed in the fields of the Dashoguz and Balkan velayats have begun harvesting grain.

Within the framework of the celebrations marking the start of the harvest season, exhibitions of agricultural products and modern agricultural machinery were held at the edges of the wheat fields. Pop and folk singers, as well as dance and folk groups, prepared musical gifts for the grain growers.

The wheat harvest season in the northern and western regions of the country was preceded by training and production seminars, where issues related to organizing the harvest and ensuring the smooth operation of the entire grain harvesting conveyor were discussed, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.

Let us remind that, by order of the President of Turkmenistan, the grain harvest campaign began in Ahal, Lebap and Mary velayats on June 3.
