Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent congratulations to Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili and Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on the occasion of the republic's Independence Day, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.

In his congratulatory message, the head of the Turkmen state emphasized the importance of bilateral relations between the two countries and expressed confidence in the further development of cooperation across a wide range of areas.

The President of Turkmenistan also wished the leaders of Georgia good health and happiness, and the Georgian people peace, progress and prosperity.
