The "Artyk" and "Garabogaz" customs checkpoints have been modernized in Turkmenistan

In Turkmenistan, renovation work has been completed at the "Garabogaz" and "Artyk" customs checkpoints. They now fully comply with international standards, according to the Turkmenistan Customs Service website.

The customs checkpoint area has been expanded, and throughput capacity has been increased significantly. Additionally, a number of social and technical facilities have been constructed, and old buildings have undergone a major renovation.

Optimal conditions have been created here for prompt and reliable customs control of vehicles and cargo crossing the border: the entire customs process is carried out digitally.

It should be noted that, according to data from international expert organizations, the time required to complete customs procedures in Turkmenistan is the shortest in the Central Asian region.

Customs checkpoints along international transport corridors passing through Turkmenistan are being gradually modernized to meet modern requirements. The "Artyk" and "Garabogaz" customs checkpoints play a key role in transit and foreign trade. Their modernization will accelerate cargo flow through the country, and the capacity of international corridors will reach a fundamentally new level, the source notes.
