An exhibition of graphic poetry by writer and poet Hemra Shirov has opened in Ashgabat

The Bashim Nurali Children's Art School in Ashgabat hosted the opening of an unusual exhibition featuring the graphic poetry of renowned Turkmen writer, poet, and playwright Hemra Shirov.

The uniqueness of the graphic poetry genre lies in the fact that the words of the poem visually form a drawing, the form of which is intended to support the content.

For example, H. Shirov's poem "The Cockerel" is shaped like a lollipop.

Young artists are the most grateful and inquisitive visitors to the exhibition: isn't it fascinating not only to look at the drawings, but also to read the encrypted poems within them, decipher the meaning, and perhaps even try to create something amazing themselves!

In addition, at the exhibition, you can explore the writer's books, view illustrations, and read his lively and sincere poems and stories.

The poetry graphic exhibition will be open at the art school until May 30, weekdays from 9:00 to 12:00 and from 15:00 to 17:00 (May 27 is a public holiday).
