The new dry cargo ship "Gadamly," built at the Balkan shipyard, embarked on its maiden voyage. The ceremony was attended by the President of Turkmenistan.
The vessel was launched at the end of last year. After completing all commissioning work, the dry cargo ship set sail for the Caspian Sea, heading for the Azerbaijani port of Baku, according to the online newspaper "Neutral Turkmenistan."
The “Gadamly” meets international standards: its cargo capacity is 6100 tons, and it is equipped with modern navigation and high-tech equipment. The ship's crew consists of 14 specialists.
The dry cargo ship's maiden voyage marks a new stage in the development of domestic shipbuilding. In recent years, the Turkmen merchant fleet has been replenished with new tankers, ferries, and other vessels as part of the state's policy of building a modern maritime fleet.
