Turkmenistan showcased its economic potential at the IMF meeting in Washington

On May 7, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the United States, together with the International Monetary Fund, organized an event at the IMF headquarters in Washington, D.C., titled "Turkmenistan's Economic Development in the Context of Regional and Global Economic Forecasts." The newly established Turkmenistan-American Business Cooperation Association (TABCA) served as the event's official partner, according to the Turkmen Embassy's social media page.

More than 80 people attended the event, including Turkmenistan's Ambassador to the United States Esen Aydogdyev, US Ambassador to Turkmenistan Elizabeth Rood, IMF Managing Director Patrick Loshewski, US Commerce Department Representative Hiro Rodriguez, as well as representatives from the US State Department, the IMF, the World Bank, CIPE, the US-Turkmenistan Business Council, TABCA, and business circles from both countries.

During the meeting, participants discussed Turkmenistan's economic development, prospects for expanding Turkmen-American trade and investment cooperation, and opportunities to strengthen direct business contacts between the private sectors of the two countries. The program also included a cultural exhibition and a presentation of Turkmen national cuisine.
