The European Union Delegation to Turkmenistan organized a series of training sessions for content creators and information professionals. The events took place in Ashgabat at the Bouygues Turkmen Carbon Center, the Delegation's press service reported.
Each training brought together approximately 30 participants—content creators, media representatives, faculty, and students. The sessions covered visual and narrative storytelling, content creation ethics, planning and distributing materials, and the use of digital tools, including artificial intelligence, in creative and editorial work. The program combined expert presentations with practical exercises and interactive discussions.
The training sessions were conducted by regional experts from Kazakhstan. The events were organized as part of the regional CARAVAN project, funded by the European Union.
"Supporting the development of modern professional skills is an investment in human potential. Responsible content creation fosters trust, quality, and long-term value in today's rapidly changing information environment," said Maciej Madaliński, Deputy Head of the EU Delegation to Ashgabat.
Participants emphasized the importance of truthfulness, accuracy, responsibility, and originality as the foundations of a fair and sustainable media environment. EU-funded media literacy training is aimed at strengthening resilience to disinformation and foreign manipulation of information, as well as developing a professional and ethical media community in Central Asia, the statement noted.
