The photo, taken during the official greeting of the British monarchs on the White House lawn, shows Trump and Charles III laughing.

According to Reuters, this isn't the first time a sitting American president has invoked monarchical symbolism during his second term. In October 2025, Trump posted an AI-generated video depicting himself wearing a crown and piloting a fighter jet. A video also surfaced online of Trump donning royal regalia alongside Democratic congressmen.

Moreover, as the BBC points out, Trump recently published an image in which he appears as Christ, but subsequently deleted it, including after criticism from his own supporters.
