From May 13 to 15, the third Yunus Akhmetzyanov International Tournament of Young Chefs will be held in Kazan within the framework of the XVII International Economic Forum "Russia – Islamic World: KazanForum." Turkmenistan will be participating in the competition for the first time, reports ntr-24.ru

The tournament will feature aspiring culinary professionals aged 16 to 25 from 18 countries, including Russia, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Türkiye, Iran, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and several other countries. Turkmenistan and Jordan will be making their debut this year.

The tournament will feature a "black box" format: participants will receive a set of products immediately before the start of the competition, without knowing their contents in advance. This approach is designed to test their technical skills, mental agility, and ability to work under time constraints.

Within the framework of the competition, guests will have the opportunity to sample dishes from the Islamic world in bento boxes. The dishes will be prepared by Kazan restaurants using recipes brought by representatives of the participating countries.

At the end of each competition day, a festival of Eastern cultures is planned, featuring master classes, lectures, and music and dance performances.
