The coaching staff of the Turkmenistan junior weightlifting team has finalized the team roster for the May World Championships in Egypt. This was announced on the website of the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF).

The World Junior Championships will be held from May 2 to 8 in Ismailia, Egypt. Nine athletes – five women and four men – will represent Turkmenistan at the tournament.

The national team includes Ogulshat Amanova and Shabnam Kerimbayeva (up to 53 kg), Medina Amanova (up to 63 kg), Asal Kerimbayeva (up to 77 kg), Anamjan Rustamova (up to 86 kg), as well as Didarbek Jumabayev (up to 79 kg), Islam Akmyradov (up to 94 kg), Suleiman Jafarov (up to 110 kg), and Saparbay Atajanov (over 110 kg).
