The Turkmen parliament is drafting a bill to establish a commemorative medal for participants in the ceremonial military parade marking the 35th anniversary of independence, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
Mejlis Speaker Dunyagozel Gulmanova delivered the corresponding report at the government meeting. According to her, the draft law is being prepared based on proposals from relevant ministries and agencies. At the same time, work is underway on the law "On State Registration of Real Estate Rights," amendments are being made to the Customs Code and a number of other legislative acts, and the country's accession to international instruments is being considered.
Gulmanova also reported on the participation of the Mejlis delegation in the 152nd Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union in Istanbul and in the first meeting of the Dialogue of Women Leaders of Central Asian States, where the role of women in society and issues of their social protection were discussed.
Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov praised the progress of legislative work and called for further improvement of the country's legal framework.
