World Health Day on April 7 will be widely celebrated in Turkmenistan. This was announced by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov at a Cabinet of Ministers meeting held via videoconference, during which the results of the first quarter of this year were summarized.

The head of state emphasized that the country places great emphasis on the development of sports and the widespread adoption of active lifestyle principles, according to the "Watan" news program on Turkmen television.

Serdar Berdimuhamedov warmly congratulated the meeting participants and the citizens of Turkmenistan on World Health Day. Members of the government, in turn, also congratulated the country's president and the National Leader of the Turkmen people on the holiday.

During the meeting, the head of state instructed Deputy Prime Minister Batyr Mammedov, who oversees healthcare, education, and sports, to continuously improve the sector's work and conduct targeted work to promote a healthy lifestyle among young people.
