Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a decree appointing Arslan Gurbannazarov as the new rector of the Turkmen State Institute of Finance. This was reported by the "Watan" news program on Turkmen television.

The previous head of the university, Bayram Tangryberdiev, was transferred to the position of rector of the Turkmen State Institute of Economics and Management by a separate decree of the head of state.
