Yesterday, a meeting was held between the Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan Dunyagozel Gulmanova and the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Turkmenistan Ms. Faryal Leghari. This was reported on the website of the Mejlis.
The Speaker of the Mejlis congratulated the ambassador on her appointment to a high diplomatic position and wished her great success in her mission.
Faryal Leghari was informed about the main directions of Turkmenistan's foreign policy, based on the principles of positive neutrality, peacefulness, trust, equality and humanism, about the composition of the national parliament and the work being carried out on legislative support for large-scale socio-economic reforms being implemented in various spheres.
The parties noted with satisfaction the existence of broad opportunities for exchanging experience in improving national legislation and parliamentary activities, familiarizing themselves with the potential for cooperation between the two states, and strengthening friendly relations between the peoples.
