Deputy Prime Minister M. Chakyev reported on the work being carried out to further modernize the material and technical base of Turkmenistan’s international airports at a government meeting on Friday.
As reported, the country's favorable geographical location and modern conditions created at international airports increase Turkmenistan's transport and transit potential. As a result of the successful implementation of the transport and communications strategy, the country is strengthening its role as a key transport and communications center at the regional and international level.
Based on this, the necessary work is being carried out to strengthen the material and technical base of the country's international airports.
In this regard, a corresponding proposal was submitted to the head of state for consideration.
Summarizing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that the country pays great attention to creating modern conditions at international airports, ensuring aviation security that meets established requirements. Having approved the proposal to strengthen the material and technical base of air harbors, the head of state instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to carry out the appropriate work, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
