President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov launched the new oil loading terminal of the Turkmenbashy oil processing complex (TOPC) via digital communications with a capacity of 2,06 million tons of loading and 1,15 million tons of unloading oil and oil products per year.
As reported by the State News Agency of Turkmenistan, during a government meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Batyr Amanov reported on the completion of construction work at the facility. The new berth is ready for operation within the framework of the modernization of the State Concern "Turkmennebit".
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that the commissioning of the berth will contribute to an increase in the volume of hydrocarbon resource exports and ensure reliable supplies.
The opening ceremony was held with the participation of the Chairman of the State Concern "Turkmennebit" Guvanch Agajanov via digital video communication. After the blessing of the head of state, a symbolic ribbon-cutting ceremony took place and the loading of oil products onto the tanker began.
The event was accompanied by a cultural program, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan notes.
