Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to New Zealand (with residence in Tokyo) Atadurdy Bayramov presented his credentials to Governor-General of New Zealand Cindy Kiro on July 16.
The presentation ceremony took place at Government House in Wellington, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reports.
The Ambassador conveyed greetings and best wishes on behalf of the leadership of Turkmenistan. The Turkmen side's interest in further deepening friendly relations in various areas was also confirmed.
Cindy Kiro, in turn, conveyed the warmest and most friendly greetings.
During his visit to New Zealand, the Turkmen ambassador met with the head of the European Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of New Zealand, Rod Harris. The parties discussed the possibilities of expanding cooperation in the political-diplomatic, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres.
Meetings were also held with the Head of the Protocol Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of New Zealand and the ambassadors of Türkiye and Mexico to New Zealand, the source notes.
