Natural gas production in Turkmenistan in January-June 2025 amounted to 38 billion 991,4 million cubic meters, oil production - 4 million 91,5 thousand tons. This was announced by the Chairman of the State Statistics Committee D. Amanmuhammedov during an extended government meeting, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
As noted at the meeting, the industrial sector has seen steady growth in indicators in the first half of 2025.
According to Deputy Prime Minister Batyr Amanov, the State Concern "Turkmennebit" exceeded the oil production plan by 10%, reaching 110% of the planned level. The concern's oil refineries fulfilled the oil refining plan by 109%.
During the specified period, the plan for the production of gasoline was fulfilled by 110,3%, diesel fuel by 101,8%, polypropylene by 100%, and lubricating oils by 116,8%.
After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that the key tasks are the development of the oil and gas sector and the diversification of natural gas exports to world markets.
The head of state instructed to continue work on the implementation of modern scientific achievements and innovative technologies to increase the production capacity of the complex's enterprises. He also gave instructions to carry out geological exploration work, improve activities for the exploration of oil and gas fields, oil and gas production, and take comprehensive measures to sell hydrocarbon resources and their processed products on world markets.
The President stressed the need to continue producing competitive and environmentally friendly products by strengthening the material and technical base of the oil and gas complex.
By the end of 2024, natural gas production in Turkmenistan amounted to more than 77,6 billion cubic meters, oil production - over 8,3 million tons.
