The Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Russian Federation Esen Aydogdyev met with the Director of the Russian Institute for Strategic Studies (RISS) Mikhail Fradkov, the RISS website reports.
The meeting was held as part of the regular diplomatic dialogue between the two countries. The main focus was on the prospects for the development of Russian-Turkmenistan relations at the present stage. The parties noted the importance of deepening the strategic partnership between Moscow and Ashgabat, including the development of dialogue at the level of expert and analytical centers of the two countries.
Mikhail Fradkov previously served as Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation from 2004 to 2007, and also headed the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service from 2007 to 2016. Since 2017, he has headed the Russian Institute for Strategic Studies.
