India will host the 18th BRICS summit in 2026.

We express our full support to India in its BRICS chairmanship in 2026 and hosting the 18th BRICS summit in India," TASS quotes the text of the summit declaration.
The BRICS presidency will pass from Brazil to India on January 1, 2026.
The BRICS group was founded in 2006. In 2011, South Africa joined the original group of Brazil, Russia, India and China. Egypt, Iran, the UAE and Ethiopia became full members on 1 January 2024. Indonesia joined BRICS as a full member on 6 January 2025.
