President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated his compatriots and cultural and artistic figures on the Day of Cultural and Art Workers, as well as the poetry of Magtymguly Fragi, which is solemnly celebrated in the country today, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
“In our prosperous Fatherland, which is striving along the path of progress, a double holiday – the Day of Culture and Art Workers, as well as the poetry of Magtymguly Fragi – is celebrated annually and solemnly on June 27, which clearly demonstrates the high respect and veneration of culture, art and literature,” the Address says.
The development of the domestic cultural sphere is one of the priority areas of Turkmenistan's policy. The state creates all conditions for the consistent strengthening of the material and technical base of the cultural sphere, improving the work of the media, cultural and educational institutions, as well as for improving the qualifications of specialists in libraries, museums, theaters, cultural centers and other specialized institutions.
Nowadays, the activities of cultural institutions in providing the population with relevant services and organizing cultural and entertainment events must be improved on a regular basis and in accordance with modern requirements. And here a special role is given to rural cultural centers, since the events held in them are of colossal importance in awakening in citizens a sense of love for literature and art, as well as in educating talented youth.
"Today, cultural and artistic workers make a significant contribution to the achievements in the cultural life of our country. We will continue to do everything necessary to develop the domestic cultural sphere, stimulate creative figures, provide them with material support and create comfortable working conditions for them," the head of state noted, wishing everyone good health, family well-being, and great success in their creative work.
“…May your inspired hearts always be filled with enlightenment!” the President concluded.
